This project was an exercise in producing a complete branding package to promote the annual BFI London Film Festival. For this I produced an original logo based around a brutalist design aesthetic that could also act as real outdoor signage – letterforms made from five strips of metal, each lit in pink and blue set against a concrete background.
This was carried across poster Designs, social media and animated sequence created in Cinema 4D with additional effects added in After Effects.
Logo Progression and Alternatives
Below i’ve included some images to show the logo progressions and an alternative, more colourful design taking influence from mid-century designers. These also show the construction of the five stripe logo that acted as the base for all 3D modelling.
